Recycling Information

You can change out the size of your bins by calling Pellitteri at 257-4285 x2. If you travel to their South Town Rd location, you can switch out for no charge, but you do have to call and give them a one day notice before showing up. If you want to have them switch it out for you at your home, they will do that for a one-time $25 fee that you pay with credit card over the phone prior to the swap. There is no difference in the annual fee to you or to the HOA regardless of the size of your containers. Also, if you want a third bin (any size) the annual cost to the homeowner is $96 per year plus tax. Again, you pay that with a credit card over the phone prior to them dropping a third container at your home.
Important Recycling Reminder
As your local service provider and the recycling sorting facility operator, it is our job to help keep the trash out of the recycling stream and thus keep our local recycling systems strong.
Contamination rates at the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), where your recyclables are sorted, are increasing.
How do we keep the trash and non-recyclables out of the recycling stream? Together let's tackle the problem head on and get back to the basics of recycling.

Additional Curbside Recyclables That Do Not Fit In the Cart
If you have additional recyclables that do not fit in your recycling cart, you may place them outside of your carts for collection if prepared properly.
How to Properly Prepare Additional Recyclables
Please place extra recycling in clear, plastic bags (up to 32-gallon and no more than 50 pounds) and place the bags next to your recycling cart. This includes cutting down cardboard boxes to fit in those bags (please do not bundle or place in a bigger box). Most places that sell garbage bags also sell clear bags. Clear bags may be tinted a color, like blue or green, which is acceptable as well as long as the bags are transparent. If you choose to bag the recyclables inside your cart, please use these bags as well.
We are asking for everyone’s help in preparing extra recyclables for collection properly.
Please do not overload your carts; the lids should be closed. If you consistently have more material than you can fit in your cart with the lid closed, please contact us to discuss cart size or additional cart options.
We enjoy serving your home with recycling collection service; please help us keep recycling a viable option by keeping non-recyclables and trash out of your recycling cart.
Sincerely,
Danielle Pellitteri

- Place only approved recyclables in your recycling cart. For a current recycling list please click here.
- If you are unsure if something is recyclable, please review the recycling list prior to placing it in your recycling cart or toss it in the trash. While we don't want to encourage sending potentially recyclable items to the landfill, we do want to make sure we're sending the right things to the MRF. If you have specific questions please call us at (608) 257-4285 or email [email protected].
- If your recycling cart has any visible trash or non-recyclables in it, it will be tagged with a notice of non-pickup due to contamination and not serviced.
- If you would like to learn more about the current state of the recycling industry please view this article from the President of one of the mills where your sorted paper is taken.
